I use Keyword Elite for all of my keyword research. This is an extremely powerful tool created by Brad Callen that is actually much more than just another keyword tool. This was created by an seo for an seo’s.
What Keyword Elite does and how to use it properly is of course two different things. Let me start with what it does and why I recommend it and then I’ll get into how I use Keyword Elite to begin a very important part of analysis called keyword research.
Keyword Elite will, like all other keyword tools, will create a great list of related keywords based upon the main and generally more broad keyword you enter in. This is called ‘project one.’ In fact, it takes a while but Keyword Elite will actually create a list of up to ten thousand related keywords. That’s quite a bit! It will grab keywords from meta tags and titles and even misspelled keywords. It will search Ask.com, Google suggestion tool, Yahoo, Freekeywords WT and keyword Discover if you have an account with them.
Once you have created a keyword list you can select a number of keywords to send to ‘project two.’ This is where Keyword Elite will analyze the cost per click information, number of results, number of searches the previous month, R/S ratio, KEI, and the number of Google campaigns. Not only do you get the number of Google campaigns but you can also see the website urls of the folks buying the ads. Needless to say that can be yet another resource to mine for effective keywords.
This is what I consider the meat of the software. With just this information alone you can make a much more informed decision regarding your keyword selection. You could do this all manually too but Keyword Elite is such a great time saver that I consider it a must have tool in every webmasters bag of tricks.
Another great function of Keyword Elite is the ability to analyze your competition. You can see the page rank of your competitors as well as a host of other statistics. For instance you can see if the keywords you are analyzing are being used in the title and header tags as well as the alt image tags and links. This is great because now you don’t have to go to each site one by one. You can get a complete overview all in one place at one time. Very convenient.
There are other valuable functions that Keyword Elite can perform but these are the ones I use most often.
I use Keyword Elite to generate a huge keyword list from which I select the most choice phrases. I then create a keyword list from each of these choice phrases and come up with even more keywords. Once I have a giant, massive keyword list I choose a few targeted phrases to send to project two where I will analyze the CPC, KEI and number of searches etc…
I only select the top buying phrases for further research but that doesn’t mean I just dump the rest of that massive list! I often use that leftover list to base my content and titles off of.
Now, in project I determine which keywords would be both profitable and easy to exploit. I look for keywords that have a high cost per click. I want ads on my site that pay well so CPC is important. I don’t want to do a lot of work only to find that I will get paid .02 per click. Once I find a decent paying keyword from among my top targeted list I then check out the KEI and number of searches.
KEI stands for Keyword Effectiveness Index. It is basically a ratio between the number of searches and the number of results showing for that query. The higher the KEI the less competition. However, I use the KEI more as general guidance than the ultimate determining factor. I always analyze the back links of the competition to help make my final determination but the KEI points me in the right direction.
The bottom line is that Keyword Elite is much more than just another keyword research tool. It has many features that help you save lots of time in doing your keyword research. Everything from generating great keyword lists (check out those misspelled keywords!) to analyzing to competition in very sneaky ways.
This is just a brief overview of what Keyword Elite can do and is in no way meant to be a comprehensive review. That would simply take too long as this is an incredibly versatile tool. 1. The Article Content

2. The Keywords
The keywords will literally occupy the article contents since they will appear several times within the article. The keyword will occupy a place in the title, twice in the opening paragraph, several times in the body and once in the end.
3. The Links
The links will provide a portal for the browser to reach other sites. The objective of the article is to capture the interest of the browser and too many links can distract. At least two links can find its place within the body of the article and should be strategically placed.
4. The Resource Box
This is the box where the browser personally meets the product as the embodiment of what was being described in the article. Since the browser was already primed with its benefits and uses, the browser became convinced that another meeting at the product’s own website is worth a try. The link appearing in the resource box will be clicked and the browser becomes a visitor to the website. The browser becomes a convert, sooner or later a buyer.
The most effective tool then is the article content, for as long as the words are relevant, factual, informative, entertaining and grammatically correct.

How does one know if article marketing really works? There are a lot of indicators which can be referred to, to satisfy this question. The only ones who can make a rightful claim if it does or does not work are the company whose sales are supposed to have increased as a result of the article marketing strategy.

5. Copywriters and freelance writers still have a lot of demand in terms of article writing jobs. Again, if creating well-written articles is still a lucrative job for these professionals, then it is the best indicator that article marketing really works. Otherwise, businessmen will not waste their money in commissioning professionals to write useful and fruitful articles for them.
However, there is a unanimous opinion that article marketing involves a lot of work and employment of other marketing tools to be really effective. The fact that ecommerce is getting more businesses involved in using the internet as a tool it means more and more websites will crave to be noticed in the web.

Like it or not (and many people are highly critical of the Rankings), Alexa Rankings are the most frequently used statistic to evaluate a site’s popularity and traffic. Unlike Google’s Page Rank, which only evaluates specific webpages, Alexa Traffic Rankings apply to an entire website.
Alexa’s Traffic Rankings come as a function of what Alexa calls “reach”, as well as their calculated “page views”. Both statistics come from data supplied by users who have the Alexa Toolbar installed. Alexa indicates that over 10 Million people have downloaded their toolbar. Downloading the Alexa Toolbar has appeal since it includes a popup blocker (long before the major browsers did) as well as a search engine entry box, links to both Amazon and Alexa, and the Alexa information about a site.
After the “reach” (percent of users accessing the site), and page views (number of unique pages accessed by a user during one day), the Traffic Rankings are calculated and Alexa’s list of most popular sites is created. The site with the highest ranking is listed as #1, the second highest is #2 and so on.
Criticism of the Alexa Toolbar and Alexa Rankings arise from the Toolbar’s intrusive, privacy-breaking toolbar and the Alexa Rankings’ bias. Indeed, some spyware programs flag the Toolbar as problematic.
Bias of the Rankings comes from the fact that the data only comes from users of the Toolbar. While the Toolbar exists for the Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Netscape browsers, and for users of Windows, Macintosh and Linux, some notable Internet users are not — such as users of the AOL/Netscape browser.
It’s commonly, but incorrectly, thought that bias occurs because the Toolbar is only available for Internet Explorer. Even before Alexa came out with their own Toolbar for Firefox, other Firefox extensions existed that provided the same data collection function.
However, it’s unknown how many people actually use the Toolbar. The Wikipedia article on the Alexa Toolbar references a 2003 forum posting estimating the actual number of Toolbar users at 180,000.
While some have talked about the Alexa Rankings being a statistical sampling like TV’s Nielsen Ratings, perhaps the only thing they have in common is that they are both samplings, and larger estimations of popularity are based upon those samplings. Nielsen, in the finest tradition of polling and statistical sampling, carefully selects their “Neilson homes”. Alexa not only does not do this, the users self-select themselves.
Additionally, Alexa indicates that any Alexa Ranking below 100,000 is unreliable, as is any site with fewer than 1000 visitors per month. According to Alexa, “the more traffic a site receives (the closer it gets to the number 1 position), the more reliable its Traffic Ranking becomes.”
Ken Evoy, founder of the website building and company Site Build It!, extols the virtues of Alexa Rankings, in spite of admitting that there is a great deal of “scatter”. That is, it’s quite possible that a site with only 20 visitors a day might have an Alexa Ranking of 150,000, and a site with 5000 visitors a day with a Ranking of 500,000. He bases his appreciation on the Alexa Rankings that 62% of his customers have been able to achieve traffic rankings within the top 3%.
So, how can you increase your Alexa Traffic Rank? Most obviously, get more traffic. This can be done by search engine optimization (SEO) efforts as well as by a myriad of other traffic-generating strategies.
However, you can also bump your Ranking by taking advantage of Alexa Ranking weaknesses. For instance, encourage all your website visitors to download and install the Alexa Toolbar. Visit your own website! Alexa doesn’t know it’s your website, so has no way of eliminating this bias. There are also a number of software tools and scripts that can be used, ranging from $49 to free (Alexa Booster is a popular one), to code written into forum postings.
While Alexa is facing competitors such as Compete.com and Quantcast, its Rankings are well-entrenched in the industry. While there may be reasonable questions about their validity, if you need to impress someone with the popularity and traffic of your site, paying attention to Alexa Rankings still is important. The best way to increase your Alexa Ranking is by simply getting more traffic. However, other means of increasing your Alexa Ranking should not be ignored.

Blogging is a technique that is becoming an extremely effective and almost necessary method of advertising your online business. By signing up for a free account on a blog server, you can post your comments, thoughts, diary, journal, or anything you want with your links at the end pointing back to your site. You can submit your blog to blog directories, comment on other people’s blogs leaving your link at the end, and the search engines will visit a site whose blog is updated regularly! This takes very little time and no money!
Similar to this method is writing articles, again, another advertising technique that is almost a must these days since search engines are looking for quality content on websites. Keyword rich articles will be spidered by the search engines, increasing your page rank and number of visitors. Article writing can be completely free and your own creation, or you can pay to have a service like Just Articles write one for you for $12 for example. You can then submit your article to article directories for free if you do it manually, or use an article submitter software such as Article Marketer, which allows you to distribute articles to a smaller audience for free, or a wider audience for $39.95/quarter. The cost is higher the wider the distribution and the longer the service. Still, it is a very cheap and highly effective way of advertising these days, and only takes about 30 minutes or so to write an article and submit them.
Finally, you want to start a linking campaign, which means you put your links on other people’s websites and they possibly put theirs on your site. This is called a reciprocal link exchange, which can increase your page rank if you have links on the net pointing back to your site, or have links on your site from sites that have a higher page rank. It is best to have one-way links that point back to your site and make sure that the links on your site relate to your site’s content. My Conclusion | I gave this software 4.0 Stars out of 5.0 You may be asking why only 4.0 stars for such a good product? The truth is that the Unique Article Wizard (another leading article submission program) has more automated features and I gave it 5 stars. The Unique Article Wizard program does article submissions automatically for you. Their submission software is built in to their subscription. However at a subscription of $67 per month, vs. a one time purchase of $77 for the MAC, I find that I can make the MAC do what I need at a fraction of the price.
The MAC product also has a few weak points in it’s submitter. It can only send articles out to 10 directories at once (20 if you purchase the high end version). The present submitter version will not submit article variations, but a future version of the submitter is in the works to do this. Note: all software version upgrades are provided at no increased cost to the user. Still, for $77 you are absolutely getting a great product for your money and I can safely endorse this product.
