People often want to know what they need to do to start list building. They often know a little about computers, and less about Internet Marketing. Let me give you the 7 simple steps that can start building your list very, very quickly.
1. Pick your passion: What do you love to do? What can you be so wrapped up in, day and night, something that won’t bore you, ever? When you start your day, what do you look forward to doing? It can be anything from beekeeping to bottle collecting, the topic doesn’t really matter, as long as there are people searching for keywords around that topic on a regular basis. Try to think of two or three things that will sustain your interest, in case one or two don’t pan out.
2. Do some research: Write a list of words that are used in your niche and then, go to http://inventory.overture.com/ . Type the words into the blank, one at a time, and see how many searches are done for the terms. If your primary keywords generate 3,000 searches or more per month, you probably have a niche to work with. If you see there are 20,000 to 30,000 searches, then you definitely have a winner. Just be aware that the very heavily searched niches are probably very competitive. You may want to start list building around a smaller niche
3. Create a unique domain name: Your domain name should have something to do with what you’re list building around. For instance, my site MyFirstTraffic.com is for my beginner’s traffic course. Makes sense, right? It makes it easy for people searching to find it my site and buy my product, and it makes it easy for the search engines to figure out what my site is about for indexing. Just be sure the name you choose isn’t too long or difficult for people to remember.
4. Choose a web host: The most important factor here is dependability. Don’t ever base your choice of web host on price because the cheapest hosts may just close shop and leave you hanging. For more details www.freelist-pro.com You also want to be sure they have nearly 100% uptime. It’s impossible for a host to have no downtime at all because upgrades and repairs are always needed. Just be sure that they have a good uptime reliability factor. You may want to delay buying your domain name until you choose a web hosting company, too. Many of them include a domain name or two with your hosting package. If you’re just starting out, you may not need a very complicated plan, but if you’re starting a membership site, say, where you’ll need to use PHP extensions, then, you’ll want something a bit more expensive. If you don’t know what you need, you’ll probably have a tech person working with you anyway, so you can always ask them for a recommendation.
5. Make a list building or squeeze page: Use a graphic of some sort, three to five benefits of joining your list and an opt-in box. Done! List building pages are very simple to make, but they will require…
6. An autoresponder: This service collects and maintains your list for you. They also send out confirmation messages to people who sign up, just to verify that they want to be part of your list. This protects you from spam complaints when somebody on your list forgets that they signed up and accuses you of spamming. For more details www.mailing-lists-manager.com There are server-side options for autoresponders, too, but having it housed elsewhere is usually a better option. They take all the aggravation out of list building for you.
7. Get your list building page onto your server: Try to use FTP, which makes uploading files to your server quick and easy. Programs like Wise FTP or Cute FTP make uploading files quick and easy. If you’re going to do business online, it’s something you really should learn.
Follow these 7 steps, and then drive some traffic to your new list building page. Actually, list building is pretty simple, once you get the hang of it, but there are things to consider before you start. Find a niche, choose a great domain name, a dependable web hosting service and the type of autoresponder that suits your taste. Then, upload your list building page to the server and there you go! You’re list building!

Keyword research is an essential aspect to succeed in internet marketing. No matter the system you are using to drive traffic to your site, you need to perform proper keyword research. It is the holy grail of all internet marketing. The strategies to use to perform it has been revealed below.
The first step strategy for keyword research is to select a niche. After you must have selected the niche you want to exploit, the next step is to begin researching. You will mostly need a keyword research tool. Most people use google keyword suggestion tool. The truth of the matter is that you need not rely only on google keyword suggestion tool, keywords research tool like keyword elite or micro niche finder are also very important. Why? It is because you can discover untapped keywords using these keywords. They will give detailed results on any keyword you are analyzing like number of sites ranking for such keywords in their title, url, body, how competitive the keyword is, whether it will be able to rank on first page of google and the rest of others.
When you must have selected a niche and gotten a keyword research tool, the next strategy is to begin researching. I will use acne to describe how to do proper keyword research. Let say the niche you want to exploit is about acne and the product you want to use to market it is an acne treatment cream. What you will have to do is to simply plug “acne” into the keyword research tool and click on the search button. The search tool will generate a list of acne keywords searched at search engines. Because you are promoting a product pertaining to a solution, you have to go for solution-providing keywords. Targeted keywords like acne cream, best acne cream, cheap acne cream, acne treatment cream etc should be selected by you. There is no need to select keywords like causes of acne, symptoms of acne, types of acne and the rest of other non-targeted keywords which do not provide a solution and may not get you potential buyers.
When you must have gotten the solution-providing keywords, copy and paste them into a notepad. Select one of those keywords and plug it into the keyword research tool. This time you will see long tail keywords. Long tail keywords are easy to rank at google than short tail keywords. An example of short tail keywords is “cure acne” while an example of long tail keywords is “cure acne naturally in one week”. I believe you will agree with me that it will be difficult to rank for “cure acne” at google but the second keywords can be ranked for. With a tool like keyword elite or micro niche finder, it will be possible for you to discover long tail keywords which google keyword suggestion tool will not give you.
A cool way to determine a keyword that will be easy to rank at google is to search it in quotes at google. If it returns below 100,000 results, then believe me when I tell you that it will be easy to rank at first page of google. This idea is also good for ppc. The reason is that you will not find more competitors for this keyword; this implies that you are likely to bid less money for this keyword than the short tail keyword. The secret of using long tail keyword for ppc is that people who search them are mostly potential buyers and not surfers.

When starting an internet marketing career is sometimes very slow, not because of the work you do but because most marketers tend to give up if the money doesn’t start to flow in the first few days. This is for sure the biggest and most common mistake beginners make and this is the reason why most people never make money on the internet.
So many of my subscribers usually ask me how much money I’m making because so many of them are not making enough cashflow to cover their monthly expenses. In fact I’m making over $10,000 /month. A lot of money can be made on the internet but the newbie’s shouldn’t take it the way many of them take it; they should take it like a real business.
This is how it goes, You start at a craw, then you make a little bit of cash a week, then rinse and repeat and you make a little bit more, and you go building your business and the number of sites you own and so on. Then your income will start increasing slowly and steady
The Big money will not pour into your bank account like magic and you can’t spend every dollar you make on bills. You must to grow your business by re-investing what you make. That is the reason most people fail on the internet, they think about the internet as an ATM machine and if they don’t see money flowing in the first few weeks they give up.
If you, as a beginner, are bringing $200 a week with one niche only, and you know how to do it, then you rinse and repeat, make another one, and then 2 more and so on. Yes, it is that easy. Then you start selling your websites, one site making $1,000 a month is worth $12,000 to $15,000, which is 12 to 15 times your monthly revenue.
What I do is this; I sell my oldest site and build a new one every month, this way I always have the same number of sites on my portfolio, and there’s no reason you can’t do the same. But at the beginning you have to re-invest your profits in order to grow.
You will learn something new every day and you will get better at what you do and will make more and more money, but you have to be persistent and don’t give up because getting past the beginner stage is the hardest part, once you see the money coming you will never get out of internet marketing.
Be creative and as you learn, you will come up with your own twist for every strategy you learn and you will make it more profitable and will have a lot of fun in the process, because believe me, you will have fun. And once you have other people doing everything for you your business is basically on autopilot. That is why it is important to outsource.
I know people making over $100,000 every month with online marketing and they are not better than me, they just got started before I did, but with time and effort I know I will be there too. Just don’t allow yourself to get overwhelmed with information. Concentrate in only one program and one strategy at a time until you make it work for you and then move to the next one and so on.

The 3 key elements to starting an online business are learning how to use niche research tools, keyword research tools and planning. Have you been going broke purchasing the newest greatest research tools? Have you defined the most profitable website concept for your online business? Have you created a site blueprint on which to build your business?
Building an online business is not an overnight sensation. It takes time, patience and research. If you possess these qualities and are serious; then the following free research tools will help you achieve your dreams and aspirations.
When you learn how to use Google’s niche research tools and keyword research tools you’ll have a jump on the competition within your niche and find your content ranking highly in the search engine result pages.
One of the most unforgettable moments in your online business will be finding your keyword phrase and website ranked on page one in Google. It was for me; and I still get excited when I find my content ranked highly in the search results.
Unless you already have an idea or business that you plan on promoting the best place to start is by checking out Google’s trends to see what people are searching for most today. This is not the most popular searches – its a record of whats hot today.
I’d start out by setting up a spread sheet and naming it something memorable like:
Niche Research Tools Results.
Make notes on topics that you are familiar with and are passionate about. All you’re doing right now is defining some niches that you find appealing. If you find some niches of interest in the trends add them to your list.
Once you’ve built a list of half dozen or a dozen potential niches log into Google and do a search for each keyword or keyword phrase. This is where I’m going to show you one of the coolest niche research tools.
For demonstration purposes lets pick the niche keyword computer repair. Log in to Google, type computer repair in the search box and click Google Search.
Now click the options tab in the upper left corner.
And here’s Google’s niche research tools cool wonder wheel. Click on wonder wheel now.
Notice how the main keyword/niche is the hub of the wheel and there are 8 spokes connected to the wheel. These are more great keywords that you may want to use in your website or blog. In this demonstration and research exercise Computer Repair is the main theme.
The spokes represent sub topics or future tiers/pages. If any of these keywords appeal to you for your site add them to a new column in your niche research tools spreadsheet. Sometimes you may find a keyword phrase from one of the spokes that interest you even more than your main theme. Possibly it would make a better niche. Add it to your first list and repeat the process.
The wonder wheel will dig even deeper into this potential niche by simply clicking one of the spokes for a new wheel. The wonder wheel does not narrow down the keyword popularity. It is only a tool for finding more related keywords to the main search term.
Next go back to your niche research tools spreadsheet and do a Google search for each keyword phrase wrapped in quotes. In the upper right hand side of the page will be a number representing the search volume for that keyword phrase as a direct match.
Start a new column in your spreadsheet and record the results for each keyword phrase. Now add each keyword phrase into Google’s Keyword Tool. Observe the search volume for each keyword and if you find more keywords that are related to your niche that interest you add them to your list. Be sure to check the search volume on these words too.
The final step would be to figure out who your real competition is. You can find that information by reading my article on keyword popularity research.
The goal in using niche research tools is to find keywords that are high in demand ( search volume) and low in supply.
You now should have a nice list of potential niche keywords, sub keywords ( tier 2 pages) and the information needed to weed and prune your list leaving you with a website blueprint.
All that’s left for you to do is start writing keyword focused content and who knows you may find your content listed number one in Google as early as next week.
Building an online business is a process. Keyword research and niche research are essential steps that you need to take. The time you spend now will pay huge dividends down the road.
If you’ve ever considered having your own website I highly recommend Site Build It. Their keyword research, niche research, and on page analyzing tools are the best in the business. I use them myself and am more than satisfied with their service. Its worth looking into even if your not ready to get started today.

Keyword Elite is a keyword research software created by Brad Callen. The software took the internet by storm and quickly dominated its playing field. Keyword Elite’s sole mission was to take keyword research to a whole new level… or so it claims.
Another bold claim they have is that if you don’t get Keyword Elite, then you are clearly outdated. Brad and his team back up these claims by constantly updating the software and giving it the best it could to continue their reign. To understand more about Keyword Elite, once need to dig in what it has to offer. Many would say that Keyword Elite is actually 5 pieces of software crammed into one.
Keyword Elite Feature # 1
The first feature of keyword elite would be the keyword generator. It has the ability to generate high paying keyword lists of over 10,000 keywords in less than 3 full minutes. If you’ve done any sort of keyword building before you’ll agree that this is a pretty amazing ability.
Keyword Elite Feature # 2
The second feature packed into keyword elite would be the power to analyze the keywords you have in pay per click listings such as google, yahoo and miva. With this single tool, you’ll be able to find those untouched keyword goldmines and use them to earn yourself a handsome profit.
Keyword Elite Feature # 3
The third feature you’ll get if you buy keyword elite is that they have a pre-built database of keyword lists where you can quickly and prepare it for your Adwords campaigns. This is a real time saver.
Keyword Elite Feature # 4
The fourth feature you’ll see would be the feature to easily check if you should or should not enter a niche. Yes, you can analyze how competitive the market is. This single feature is very important and often neglected. The reason this feature is so important is that you can you this to “test the water” of a certain niche before you enter it. This way you can stop yourself making a mistake jumping into competitive niches which you can’t possibly handle and waste all your time, money and effort doing it.
Keyword Elite Feature # 5
The fifth feature that they’ve included into keyword elite is a sneaky one. You can actually steal your competitor’s profitable Adwords keywords by discovering which
keywords are making them money.
Keyword Elite Bonus Feature
Keyword Elite is the best keyword research tool for spying on competitors, keyword list management and creation of killer keyword list. For more information Click Here

pay per impression affiliate programs adwords affiliate programs niche affiliate programs affiliate referral programs The affiliate program is probably the best return for your effort with the least demand on your time. This has an appeal to the Boomer Entrepreneur since we want to run the business and not have it run us. We want to have time to kick back and smell the roses.
The attraction to this model is that it is virtually risk free except for your time. It costs you nothing to sign up as an affiliate. You recommend the product and send your visitors to the website where the product is sold and if the customer purchases the product, you are paid a commission. Amazon.com is credited with being the first businesses on the Net to fully develop the affiliate concept and now all the major companies have affiliate programs.
When you sign up as an affiliate, you will be given an affiliate number, and a special link to use for linking to the affiliate website. This link will send your visitor to the business site and at the same time tell the business that you sent the visitor so you will receive the commission in the case of a sale.
There are companies that do the accounting and act as the coordinator between affiliates and the companies they represent. These are called affiliate program providers (APPs). One of the major sites for handling affiliate accounting is called Commission Junction. It handles eBay and others. The major site for electronic products is ClickBank. Other sites are BeFree, Linkshare, and Performics. A German APP is Affili.net.
Commission Junction is the largest APP and handles many great companies. To fully explore what is available, you need to sign up at CJ and look for affiliates there. You will be able to see who the companies are and the commission structure of each. You can then join the program right in CJ without having to go to each company and apply.
I suggest that you join CJ and study the many companies that are represented. Take note of a few that you feel might be ones that you would like to represent. Dont join the affiliate program yet, but go to Google and research the company website. See if they sell themselves well and will support the sales effort that you are going to expend to sell their products or services. Also, from CJ, you can link to the landing page in the company website. Go there and check it out to see if it sells well.
Step by Step Start
The following will lead you through the sign up process as a Commission Junction publisher. This process is longer than most that you have previously completed. Be prepared to complete two pages of information. The second page is long and detailed.
First page: Select your language, country, and currency. Click NEXT.
Second page: After swearing to abide by the rules and regs, you will be asked for information about your newsletter or website (URL). If you have a website, you can enter it. If not, make up a name for the eZine that you may plan to publish. For this application, you must make up a newsletter name if you do not have a website (URL). Be creative!
You will then be asked about your promotional methods. Click the Website/Content and Search Engine Marketing buttons. Next click NO on the radio button that asks if you donate any proceeds to charity (unless you want to do so).
Next you will be asked to enter all the information needed for setting up your account. You might have to attempt this page a couple of times since you might not have all the info you might need the first time. A key item you will need is social security number or tax ID if you are registering as a business. If you want to have your payments direct deposited, get a blank check so you will have the info to set up the banking information.
When you finish giving CJ your entire pedigree, click Accept Terms and you are on your way. Check your Inbox for an email from CJ with your acceptance message and password.
Sign up for Commission Junction at
https://signup.cj.com/member/publisherSignUp.do
Once you have received your acceptance email from Commission Junction, log in to www.cj.com and use your password to enter. When you are logged in, you will be on your Commission Junction Home Page. It shows your account status and basic accounting info. It also shows the new advertisers on CJ. You might see if any of these look appealing since you can jump right on them and get a head start.
Near the top of the page click on Account. This is where you can update the information that you entered on your application.
Now down to business. Click on the Get Links tab near the top and you will be presented the page where you can find advertisers. There are several ways to view it: By category, by advertiser name, by Smart Zone, and by relationship which will list all the accounts with which you have an established relationship.
As an example, to find a company with which you are familiar (eBay), select the Category view and in the left column under Commerce, click Auctions. The page that is presented will contain various auction sites, but you will recognize most of them as the various eBay sites for the USA and other countries.
To join an affiliate, click on the View Links in the box with the affiliate name. You will be presented with the various banner ads and links for the affiliate. Pick one and click on it. If you are not a member of the affiliate program, you will be presented a page describing the program and at the bottom of the page is a button Join Program. Click this and see the response. Sometimes you will be accepted immediately and sometimes you will get a message that you will be notified after your application has been reviewed. Go ahead and join eBay USA since you should be accepted immediately by it.
The sequence of Get Links and Join Program is how you sign up for the affiliate programs that you want to represent. It is all in Commission Junction and it makes it very easy for you to grow an affiliate program as your online job.
Note: Some affiliates require that you have a website when you sign up with them. You can build a website later and reapply if this affiliate program is one you want to pursue as an online job.
A word of caution: Becoming an affiliate does not automatically make you rich. Becoming an affiliate establishes the relationship to let you promote a product and get paid for successful promotion. It is up to you to do the work of driving traffic to the affiliate site. If you do your job well, a percentage of the traffic will purchase from the site and you will be paid a commission for those purchases.
This concludes your education about Commission Junction. It is a powerful website and is a must join if you are going to create an affiliate program.
Good luck with your future affiliate programs.
