I Almost Messed Up By Installing Shield Web Spy
My wife and I share a computer, so it is hard for me to keep track of all of the programs that we each install on it. That said I tried to install Shield Web Spy thinking it would help keep us safe from all of the different types of spyware on the Internet. Luckily for me my wife had already seen to protecting our computer from all kinds of malware.
I did not know it at the time, but Shield Web Spy is a rogue antispyware program designed to con people out of money. If my wife had not previously protected our computer I would have really messed up our computer by installing Shield Web Spy.
I have recently learned just how bad a problem rogue antispyware, like Shield Web Spy, has become. Rogue antispyware has only been around for a couple of years, but apparently there is upwards of three hundred different rogue antispyware programs floating around out there today.
The popularity of rogue antispyware seems to be the ease at which scammers can con people out of money. As a matter of fact some scammers are taking in as much as $158,000 a week conning people into believing their computers are infected with spyware or some other type of malware. In most cases these rogue antispyware programs can’t even do a proper scan nor remove any potential risks for the user.
I can see why Shield Web Spy and others like it are becoming such a problem. It is very cheap and easy way to put a program online designed to scare people into buying something and than just sit back collecting money. What also makes it difficult is that there is almost no place to turn to get any kind of help.
Scammers that use programs similar to Shield Web Spy are for the most part safe, because there are very few governments in the world trying to prosecute people for these types of scams. Further hampering the problem is the fact that some countries do not care if there citizens steal money from people on the Internet.
Luckily for me, my wife is on top of all of the threats and what people should do to keep their computers and their wallets safe. She installed a program that not only removes spyware and other types of malware, she also got one that keeps us protected all of the time.
If you are currently looking for a spyware removal program to either get rid of Shield Web Spy or to keep yourself safe from it, you should look for a program that is 100% guaranteed. If a guarantee does not sound like a big deal to you, you should think of this. Rogue antispyware programs have not been around long, and there are already over three hundred. At this rate there could be as much as six hundred by next year.
I learned some valuable lessons this week. Not only does my wife understand our computer better than me, rogue antispyware like Shield Web Spy is not going to go away.
